THE PROJECT

The mental health and wellbeing of UK university staff and students are reported to have seriously deteriorated. Rather than taking this ‘university mental health crisis’ at face value, we carry out network and discourse analyses to investigate the policy assemblages through which the ‘crisis’ is addressed. Our project is funded by the Wellcome Trust.

OUR TEAM

The MapUKHE project is conducted by four UK academics based at the universities of Lincoln, Glasgow, and York. We combine expertise in medical humanities, history, mental health, qualitative social scientific methods, critical university studies, complex systems and network analysis.
