The mental health and wellbeing of UK university staff and students are reported to have seriously deteriorated. Rather than taking this ‘university mental health crisis’ at face value, we carry out network and discourse analyses to investigate the policy assemblages through which the ‘crisis’ is addressed. Our project is funded by the Wellcome Trust.

This project maps, through the use of Neo4J database and visualisation, the complex network of sectoral, para-sectoral and private organisations reshaping the operations—and the occupational and pedagogical characteristics—of the twenty-first century UK university.
